Hello, I’m Meghan

I'm a catalyst for those in the education community to think deeper and act intentionally.

I help others to better understand themselves, their organizations, and how they function within their current structures – then use that knowledge to up-level, grow, and expand.

As a consultant, speaker, and regional director at an educational data nonprofit, I connect individuals and organizations with the insights, tools, and resources they need to meet their goals and increase their impact.

When I think of Meghan, the first things I think of are collaboration and leadership. She is a visionary, optimist, and innovator.

My Roles & Goals

Understand

Grants Manager - Learner Insights & Philanthropy

National Student Clearinghouse

I connect Foundations and funders to information about Clearinghouse initiatives so that we can work together to democratize access for all learners to our education and workforce data. Understanding pathways to professional opportunities increases the likelihood that everyone can experience economic success and sustainability throughout their lifetime.

Expand

Consultant & Coach

Education Organizations & Professionals

I empower mid-career professionals to get unstuck and confidently navigate their careers – whether that means seeking growth in their current roles or pursuing a new position or path.  I also partner with organizations to share strategies to develop, invest in, and retain their top talent.  Through short-term engagements with clients, we consider their long-term: where they are now, and how they want to grow and expand.  Then we establish a plan and kickstart next steps for sustained success, satisfaction, and impact in their careers and organizations.

Inspire

Speaker & Workshop Leader

Associations & Education Organizations

I love creating, synthesizing, and sharing resources and ideas that launch next actions and deeper learning.  Through my signature keynotes and presentations, I prompt audiences in the higher ed community to consider what it means to grow at the individual level (Understand Who You Are & Where You Want to Go), the organizational level (Bloom Where You’re Planted: Developing Key Employees) and the global level (The Millennial Future of Higher Ed).

Create

Course & Training Design

I also partner with clients to tailor learning experiences that inspire their participants through custom-designed workshops, trainings, and courses.

What Inspires Me

I am a community-builder.

I love connecting people to each other, to resources, and to new ideas that help inform next steps…

Whether that’s building new relationships, growing businesses, or advancing careers.  I believe that when we understand ourselves, we can then connect the dots to understand our place in the world: our work, our communities, and the contributions we want to make.  By engaging in and leading local, Chamber, and alumni organizations, I’m able to actively impact and strengthen my community while growing professionally myself.

I am a continuous learner.

Perhaps this is why I have spent all my career in higher ed, and resonate with an education setting so deeply:

There’s so much richness in that environment in terms of what we can learn, how we can collaborate, and what impact we can have on our lives and our world.  My formal education focused on the study of individuals and societies, through my Bachelor’s in Psychology, Women’s Studies & Sociology and Master’s in Student Affairs & College Counseling.  I always want to be challenged to learn and grow, which reflects in my passion for an individual’s development and advancement in their communities – and across the education continuum.

I am a catalyst.

It is my second nature to coach, to help people find ways to move forward.

When we see ourselves and our organizations in new ways, we can see a new path to meet our goals.  I also love being creative and innovative – taking my entrepreneurial skill sets as a business owner and pushing the envelope, leading the initiative.  In this way, I'm a catalyst for those in the education community to evaluate their goals and developmental areas, understand their organization and their function within their current structures – and then to leverage this knowledge and inspire growth and expansion in meaningful ways.

Meghan has been a huge support to me breaking into the field of career development. She helped me to understand, identify, and own my strengths and transferable skills – as well as connect me to resources that would help me navigate my path.
